Ortrud Mullett is a German national, married to a Scott. She worked as a linguist for a number of businesses helping them with their commercial needs when operating across different language zones. Ortrud developed an interest in genealogy several decades ago. Since her retirement she has pursued this interest more seriously and is currently translating a 350 page biography of Major General Johann Jacob Brückmann who led the Hanoverian Artillery at the Battle of Dettingen, and is also transcribing and translating the business diaries of Rudolf Winkelmann sen. who owned and managed the world renowned Zeitter & Winkelmann piano company from 1899 until 1942. She serves on the heraldic council of the Deutsches Erbe Wappenrolle as their genealogical expert.
