Michael Borth is a successful full-time opera singer who gives his spare time to the Institute as Registrar. This role involves receiving, collating and preparing all official incoming and outgoing correspondence. He is also required to keep a record of all documents which have had the Institute's seal attached to them.

As a Baritone Michael has won international critical acclaim with his stunning vocal beauty and irresistible stage presence. His appearances at Gran Teatre del Liceu, Opéra national du Rhin, Theater Basel, the Rossini Festival of Pesaro and major international concert halls in a uniquely wide range of repertoire have made him one of the most fascinating singers of his generation.

Michael has received many important industry accolades, including most recently a nomination for Opera Singer of the Year 2023. His new recording of Janacek: The Cunning Little Vixen with Naxos Records, featuring Michael in the male lead, is in the running for several awards.
